Rempapa
In line with our nation’s birthday, Rempapa presents their Final Peranakan Menu as their last ‘hurrah’ before their upcoming relocation to National Gallery Singapore. With multi-culturalism at the core of Singapore’s national identity, Peranakan heritage cuisine serves as a perfect representation. Rooted in the fusion of Chinese and Malay flavours, Peranakan food is an eloquent symbolism of the blending of cultures that defines Singapore’s unique character.
Helming Rempapa is Chef Damian, the ‘Grandfather of Heritage Cuisine’ who serves a plethora of authentic dishes from all the main cultures of Singapore made from traditional age-old recipes inherited from his grandparents, especially ‘Pop’ his paternal grandfather. This menu is no different – it captures an excitement of complex yet harmonious flavours in the form of traditional Peranakan staples, passed down through generations. Timeless treasures such as Babi Assam and Penang Fish Gulai will be served, offering a festivity of flavours suited for the National Day occasion.
