The fine Italian restaurant celebrates SG60 all day long but our eye remains on theirNational Day Dinner ($248++ per person)at 7:30pm. The menu feels more enticing than usual with its creative blend of local and Italian flavours as a tribute to our Nation’s birthday; think items such asPan Seared Hokkaido Scallop with Laksa OilandPandan Tiramisu. In addition, the restaurant’s location also ensures a fabulous fireworks view against the panoramic Marina Bay skyline.

Ichigo Ichie

One of the most unusual and interesting options on our list is this4-hands collaboration by Ichigo Ichie and Foliage. Born from a long-standing friendship between Japanese Chef Akane Eno of Ichigo Ichie and Singaporean Chef Dillon Ng of Foliage, this partnership is a tribute to Singapore, where the two chefs met and where they call home.

Hosted at Ichigo Ichie’s intimate Claymore Connect space, this 4-hands presents a sophisticated menu that is the result of a deeply collaborative creative process; a culinary portrait of life that is both profoundly personal and universally relatable all at the same time. 

Local flavours are imbued with new life through Japanese techniques and ingredients: highlights include aTarabagani Laksa Croquette, with handpicked flesh of Hokkaido King crab, crisp breadcrumbs and a rich laksa sauce; and anAyu Thunder Tea Rice, Chef Akane’s favourite Singaporean dish interpreted through a new perspective with grilled sweetfish and a “thunder tea paste” made from local herbs, then served with maguro dashi. 

Best of all, it’s available for three nights (a lunch session also available only on 10 August)! An alcohol pairingis also available for an additional $88++ per person.
